The false gods of success and achievement do not lack for followers.  In this session, we’ll examine two encounters of Jesus from the Gospels that show the dangers of worshipping at the altars of these idols.

We address two more of the false gods that dwell in the Temples of Pleasure, those of sex and entertainment.  Regardless of how we try to fill the God-shaped vacuum we were all created with, nothing truly satisfies apart from a personal relationship with Almighty God through His Son Christ Jesus.

It starts to get a little “personal” as we look at the first three “other gods” we often pursue, the gods of PLEASURE.  Can a “good” thing (even a “God-thing”) become a false god?  Unfortunately, yes; as we’ll see with this first god of pleasure…food!

Like the children of Israel in Joshua 24, we are all faced with several “options” regarding which gods we will pursue and worship; but one option we do not have, is to NOT worship at all.  A look at “other gods” and why they simply do not satisfy.
