Your Weekend Show

It’s hard to believe that we are only about 2 and a half weeks until it is Christmas. As we mark this time, Bob opens the program reminding us to not forget that we are still in the season of Advent, and why not neglecting Advent is very important.

Also on the Program, Bob welcomes Ian Anderson, the Presiding Bishop of the Reformed Anglican Church. Many regular listeners know that Bob is in ministry, but what many did not know, is that bob serves in the Reformed Anglican Church as a missionary Bishop. Bob and Ian discuss a little about what the Reformed Anglican Church is, their mission, their ministry, and their future. They also share their thoughts about the “state” of Christianity in the Western Word.

This weekend Bob starts his countdown to Christmas with memories of times past. For many people, this time of the year is NOT easy. Perhaps the loss of a loved one, bad memories, or even loneliness is making this a particularly difficult time for you. Bob urges us to stop, reflect, and rethink this most unique time of the year, so you can find hope and joy.

This weekend Bob shares some important thoughts about the future and direction of “Your Weekend show.” Following on the topic of last weekend’s show, “Time,” Bob wonders if this show is something of real benefit to his listeners, and is producing it (in its current form) a good use of Bob’s time? As the show is nearing its 5th anniversary, is it time to rethink the show, and where and how the show is aired? Bob asks you to share your thoughts with him, as he makes some major decisions in life and ministry for 2020.

There is nothing worse than a missed opportunity. Many times we have regrets that last for many years, and have a deep and often time’s negative impact on our lives. Generally, “procrastination” is the number 1 reason we have regrets, or refusing to get out of our comfort zone. In life, we often have to make decisions, but choosing to ignore those decisions can prove devastating. This weekend Bob talks about how time once spent is gone forever, and why it’s imperative to not miss our “Hour of Visitation” on the important things in our life.

Earlier this past summer, Bob had a program entitled “The Summer of 1969 Through the Eyes of a Teenager.” Of all the programs ever produced in the near 5-year history of the program, it had (by far) the most downloads and listens on podcasts of any other episode. It’s almost hard to believe that it has been 50 years since that historic summer.

Because Bob is traveling on important ministry work this past week and this weekend, he was unable to be able to produce a program for this weekend. Because this program was so well received before, and many that listen by Radio may have missed it, here it is again.

Next weekend Bob has a totally brand new episode and will be sharing some of the new work coming his way, and some thoughts about the direction of this radio show and podcast.

One of the most listened to show of the past five years was on the topic of false prophets and false preachers/teachers. There is no doubt we are living in a different time and age than even 30 to 40 years ago. However, many people still fall victim to bible teachers with an end-time message that sounds fascinating but is often simply not true. In other words, “Fake Prophets Making Big Profits.” What is even more troubling, these individuals are still on radio and TV, selling their books and videos, after being WRONG in the past. Why do people let themselves be deceived?

Bob takes them on again in this weekend’s program. You will hear some of the wrong predictions made by some in just the past few years. You need to share this encore broadcast with your family and friends.

On this weekend’s program, Bob ties together all the programs put together for the Month of October. At the beginning of the month, Bob shared his thoughts about the “religion of climate change,” and how the optics of a young girl from Sweden has captured the hearts of the media and deceived the minds of many. On the second Show of October, Bob talked about how much of what we are seeing in our culture today is nothing more than recycled ancient paganism. On last weekend’s show, Bob shared the story about his birth and adoption, and the value of life. This weekend Bob brings it home for us to understand the world in which we live today. It’s a program you don’t want to miss.

On the first half of this weekend’s show, Bob shares a very true story of young love, heartbreak, and starting all over again.  In this “close to home” narrative, Bob shares how some very unexpected things often are the turning point in our lives. 

In the second half of the program, Bob shares why life is so valuable and so precious, and why our life is such a gift not to be wasted. He also shares his thoughts on those forces that try to destroy our lives. This is a really powerful and emotional program you need to share with your family and friends.

This weekend Bob continues his theme on earth-centric worship and its impact on our western world. Many of the thought processes today in education, politics, the environment, and even in many of our faith-based institutions are nothing more than recycled paganism. What impact will this rebirth of the earth and pagan worship have on our society? Bob takes a sobering look at where we are and starts looking at where all this could lead.

This weekend Bob takes on the never-ending political prophets of gloom and doom. During the month of October, Bob is going to be doing a unique set of programs dealing with issues ranging from failed environmental predictions to the dramatic shift in the western world from the Logic and the Judeo Christian ethics, to emotion-based outcome thinking and literal ancient paganism. These four programs may prove to be some of the most controversial “Your Weekend Shows” ever produced. This weekend’s show is entitled “It’s a Hard Day on the Planet,” and looks at over 50 years of missed predictions, questionable motives, and societal bondage.
