You're Such A Catch

What if you could let go of any fear and say yes to the things that scare you? How could saying that three-letter word change your life? Shonda Rhimes did it and wrote a book about it: Year of Yes: How to Dance It Out, Stand In the Sun and Be Your Own Person.

We all have choices in life, and challenging ourselves to step outside our comfort zone often results in a positive experience, greater opportunity, and making new connections. Erin shares how she said YES to podcasting live at LA Fashion Week. She talks about her overall experience, the robust conversations and emotional exchanges she had with models and designers, and how disappointed she would have been if she had acquiesced to her fear and denied herself this experience. It pays to be brave!

As humans, we experience events and traumas during our lifetime that compiled become a part of our story. Sometimes the past shows up in the present, and we're uncomfortable owning what happened to us, let alone sharing our truth. Sadness, shame, and emotional pain can be tied to these events, making them hard to relive. When we're able to claim our own stories, we're able to heal from the past and truly move forward, living in the present.

Leanna Joan, Creator and Host of the Hello and Goodbye podcast, shares how she was able to claim her story and share it with the world. She's overcome shame from her divorce, untangled the effects of spiritual trauma, and accepted the diagnosis of a mental illness. She now uses her voice to help others.
