The petition is advocating for better road conditions in Mindarie (and the whole council) after the death of beloved grandmother Lia Bennet. Imani Benfell is only 15 years old and already has a published book - crazy! At present Imani is looking to raise $20,000 for a much-needed assistance dog. Imani has Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, as well as other medical conditions that makes life that bit tougher. We brought the workday down to Wanneroo Youth Centre today and had the pleasure of speaking with the City of Wanneroo mayor Tracey Roberts. Mayor Roberts said how the council are looking at investing heavily into youth/young adults with youth centres being infrastructure they are looking at funding.

At the end of the interview, Mayor Roberts played a game of Abbreviation-Fest, where she lost to Imani Benfell 9-3.

Isaac got the man of the moment, Premier Mark McGowan on the phone for a chat about Youth Jam and its importance, as well as the vaccination roll out for youth and young adults. Premier McGowan hinted there could be vaccination hubs at Leavers 2021 events this year.

Imagine being told you were to give Premier Mark McGowan a WA hoodie at the skills expo?! Well, Ali was asked to do just that. She has now sky-rocketed to social media fame and talks to Kate & Isaac about the famous WA hoodie and how it felt to give it to the Premier himself.

When asked whether the City of Perth could do more for youth, Deputy Mayor Sandy Anghie for Perth said that she was open to hearing suggestions and conceded that the city wasn't as proactive as it could be in terms of youth activities/spaces. Feel free to leave your ideas in the comments below.
