Mauricio is a licensed clinical social worker and certified sex therapist through AASECT. He is currently working on his doctorate in social work at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA. Mauricio's research interests include the effects of shame and social stigma on youth who committed a sexual offense and their families, as well as the use of narrative counterstory practices to repair identity.
