  • Across the Universe

Recent cinema history has had its fair share of both jukebox films a la moulin rouge as well as biographical movies weaving in and out of one artists music such as the most recently released Elvis. However this months film created a space in between these two style forming a jukebox film that utilizes the music of one artist group. Ironically it is the first of two in the recent decades to do this both sharing the same music of The Beatles. While we will save later Yesterday for another show perhaps, the movie that will be discussed in this episode tells the tale of love at first sight and the counter culture of the 1960s which the band in question contributed to. So please listen as we come together and talk about…Across the Universe.

  • Street Fighter

The history of video games movies has been to say the least tumultuous. The highs and lows differing depending on the die hard or casual video game player you ask. The movie of this month was the second of its kind living up to the bombastically over the top of early 90s action films. Coming out a year before it’s source material competitor’s foray into live action, this movie might be cheesy, might have a Belgian playing and American, and have Gomez Addams play a dictator that just wants to share money with his face on it with the world but dang if this movie is not fun. So slip into your most comfy robe reminisce on Tuesdays of old and listen as we discuss… Street Fighters
