After completing their exile and one year in hiding, Pandavas with their friends discuss the way ahead. Apart from sending a messenger to Hastinapur, they also decide to send emissaries to friendly kings for help in a possible war. Duryodhana's spies sound him about Pandavas' plan and he rushes to seek Krishna's help first.

Duryodhana rightly guesses that Keechak 's killer is a Pandava. To ascertain it, he plans to invade Matsya Kingdom from two sides. Pandavas are forced to help Virat and in the process get themselves revealed. Bhishma calculates if days in hiding for Pandavas are over or not!

The Pandavas and Draupadi stay in disguise in the palace of King Virat. Virat's commander and brother-in-law, Keechak gets enamoured by the beauty of Draupadi and tries to win her with might. Bhima kills him. The killing of Keechak sends alarm bells to Duryodhna, who thinks that Keechak's killer is a Pandava.
