Asmaa رضي الله عنها was present at the battle of Yarmook. Abdullah Ibn Zubayr رضي الله عنهم was also present, he was ~13 years old thus was spectating.

Zubayr رضي الله عنه was disciplined and strict. Asmaa رضي الله عنها showed patience during their blessed marriage for decades. However, one incident occurred which lead to their divorce.

Urwah Ibn Zubayr (r.h) was a blessed soul. He (r.h) was 23 years younger than his older brother Abdullah Ibn Zubayr رضي الله عنهم. He (r.h) would fast everyday, and would read ~7,8 juz of the Qur’an everyday.

Asmaa’s رضي الله عنها mother was Qutaylah bint Abdul Uzza. She was from Banu Amir Ibn Luay, the same tribe our mother Sawda bint Zam’a رضي الله عنها was from. Qutaylah married Abu Bakr رضي الله عنه in the jahilliya period and they got divorced then also. She gave birth to Asmaa and Abdullah رضي الله عنهم. There’s dispute whether Qutaylah embraced Islam or not.

Asmaa رضي الله عنها had the honour of being amongst those who performed the farewell Hajj with the Messenger ﷺ. Zubayr رضي الله عنه was present also. These two blessed souls رضي الله عنهم had a beautiful relationship full of Taqwa, love and humour.

The Messenger ﷺ would educate his sister in law Asmaa رضي الله عنها. She رضي الله عنها had once perfumed herself and went to visit her sister Aisha رضي الله عنها. The Messenger ﷺ taught her the rulings regarding women perfuming themselves.

al-Mundhir Ibn Zubayr (r.h) was another one of Zubayr’s and Asmaa’s رضي الله عنهم children.

Asmaa رضي الله عنها had the jubba (large shirt/cloak) of the Messenger ﷺ. The Jubba would be washed and then those who were ill would drink that water and they’d be cured with the permission of Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى.

The Messenger ﷺ ordered Asmaa رضي الله عنها to not hoard wealth and to give it. This is something only those at a high spiritual level can do.

When Asmaa رضي الله عنها was ill, she freed every servant she had. She رضي الله عنها would get headaches.

The Messenger ﷺ said if you are punished by Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى in this life due to a sin, then He سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى is too Just to punish you again in the next life.

Another one of Zubayr’s and Asmaa’s children was Khadijah رضي الله عنهم.

A poor man asked Asmaa رضي الله عنها if he could set up shop in the shade of their dwelling. She رضي الله عنها tells him to return and ask again when Zubayr رضي الله عنه is present.

Although Asmaa رضي الله عنها herself was going through extreme hardship, she still put others first and was extremely generous. Abdullah Ibn Zubayr رضي الله عنهم said he had never seen anyone more generous than Aisha and Asmaa رضي الله عنهم.

Asmaa bint Abu Bakr رضي الله عنهم was heavily pregnant during her migration to Madinah. She رضي الله عنها just reached Quba when she experienced labour pains. It was here where Abdullah Ibn Zubayr رضي الله عنهم was born. He رضي الله عنه was the first child (from the Muhajireen) to be born in Islam after the hijrah.

Abdullah Ibn Zubayr رضي الله عنهم was named by the Messenger ﷺ himself. The Messenger ﷺ supplicated for him رضي الله عنه. The companions رضي الله عنهم were extremely happy with his birth, they carried him through the streets and uttered the Takbeer.

Abdullah Ibn Zubayr رضي الله عنهم was courageous and confident. He رضي الله عنه is the nephew of Aisha رضي الله عنها, she رضي الله عنها had special love for him رضي الله عنه.

The incident of the streamlets: Something happened on the land that the Messenger ﷺ gifted to Zubayr رضي الله عنه. It involved irrigation of Zubayr’s رضي الله عنه land and land of another Ansari man رضي الله عنه. According to Zubayr’s رضي الله عنه opinion, it was because of this incident that Surah [4:65] was revealed.

Some scholars say this Ansari man was a hypocrite, however the majority say he was actually a Badri رضي الله عنه.

Surah [4:65] was also revealed for other incidents. One example is the incident between a man named Bishr and a Jew who had a dispute so they went to the Messenger ﷺ to sort it out. Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى knows best.

Asmaa رضي الله عنها married Zubayr رضي الله عنه when all he رضي الله عنه had was his horse. She رضي الله عنها would take care of his horse and she said it was the most difficult task, having to walk ~2 miles just to get date stones from some land. The Messenger ﷺ gifted this land to Zubayr رضي الله عنه.

Zubayr رضي الله عنه was known for his ghayrah. This is a noble trait which he رضي الله عنه had to a high degree.

One of Zubayr’s رضي الله عنه wives was Asmaa bint Abu Bakr رضي الله عنهم. She رضي الله عنها was the daughter of Abu Bakr رضي الله عنه and was one of the earliest Muslims. She رضي الله عنها played a huge part in serving the Messenger ﷺ and Abu Bakr رضي الله عنه when they went on the Hijrah.

Asmaa رضي الله عنها is the mother of Abdullah Ibn Zubayr رضي الله عنهم. She رضي الله عنها was pregnant with him when she would deliver food to the Messenger ﷺ and Abu Bakr رضي الله عنه when they were in the cave.
