Zubayr Ibn al-Awaam رضي الله عنه

Najashi (r.h) gifted Zubayr رضي الله عنه a spear. Zubayr رضي الله عنه gave it to the Messenger ﷺ.

When Zubayr رضي الله عنه returned to Makkah, his beloved mother Safeeyah رضي الله عنها and his uncle Hamza رضي الله عنه had embraced Islam.

Zubayr رضي الله عنه had the honour of being amongst those who performed a dual migration.

Zubayr Ibn al-Awaam رضي الله عنه

A force gathered to try and attack Najashi (r.h) and take over. He (r.h) gathered his troops and crossed the Nile river and readied for battle.

The companions رضي الله عنهم needed someone to keep an eye on the battle to see who wins, a ~16 year old Zubayr رضي الله عنه volunteered and was chosen. He رضي الله عنه swam across the Nile to witness the battle and to inform the companions رضي الله عنهم who won. Najashi (r.h) won the battle.

When the Messenger ﷺ recited Surah Najm in Makkah, everyone prostrated, including the jinns. Everyone prostrated except one man. Because everyone was seen prostrating, a rumour spread that everyone in Makkah had embraced Islam, the companions رضي الله عنهم in Abyssinia heard this rumour and they returned to Makkah. However, upon learning that the Makkans hadn’t embraced Islam, some of the companions رضي الله عنهم returned back to Abyssinia and some stayed in Makkah.

The Quraysh nobles emigrated to Abyssinia so as to maintain a stronghold outside of Makkah.

and the one who is present silent and quiet hence this is an atonement of sins till the next Jumma plus a few days as a Mercy.

A good action is the declaration of faith, The Kalima.

Those who produce a good action will receive ten like it, Surah 6 The Cattle v160.

The Hijra to Abyssinia

At 12 years Zubayr (ra) is the first to defend The Messenger ﷺ.

At 14 Zubayr (ra) migrates to Abyssinia along with 15 other companions.
