Z and Keith Watched A Movie

Monkey Shines (1988) is ambitious. It attempts to give us views into large yet rarely explored areas: Adjusting to life with a disability, the field of service animals, technology in the service of the disabled, mad science performed on Capuchins, psychic human-animal connections.
Almost unintentionally, it would seem, through a contemporary lens at least, we get surprisingly decent representation and excellent animal performances.

Originally published for patrons only on 15 December, 2021 as Dishonorable Unmentionable #20 in the midst of our second season, this mini ep details how Night of the Demons changed Z's relationship to lipstick.

Originally published 28 July, 2024 for patrons as Dishonorable Unmentionable #67 this was a last minute bday ask from Keith. Z relented and has yet to forgive.
Directed by the Michael Mann himself, this feature length version of an episode of the original 1980's tv series feels just as pretentious as you'd expect. Maybe more. Ask Alonso.

Original published Sept 8, 2021 for our paid subscribers as Dishonorable Unmentionable #13, this episode gave Z a whole new way to hate Tum Crosie and in which Keith realizes that Kelly McGillis is a bit of a... the origin of certain feelings.

Originally published Oct 13, 2021 for our paid subscribers as Dishonorable Unmentionable #15, this remains one of our favorite films to talk sh*t on. Plus it is the origins of Keith's hate affair with all things associated with James Wan.
