What actually makes a successful life?
I gave myself 20 minutes to answer 20 questions I had never seen before.
I expected them to go in completely different directions. Instead, I kept coming back to the same things: ambition, faith, failure, relationships, discipline, identity, and what we're actually trying to accomplish when we chase success.
I talk about why I no longer believe hard work alone guarantees success, what struggling as a Division I baseball player taught me about relationships, why I'm becoming less certain about seeing the world in black and white, and how some of the lowest points in baseball have strengthened my relationship with God.
There are plenty of answers in here that I might change a year from now.
That's part of why I wanted to record it.
The point of this podcast isn't to pretend I have life figured out. It's to ask better questions, hear different perspectives, and hopefully build conversations worth having.
So after listening, I want to hear yours:
What truth did you only understand after failing—not after succeeding?
