This week, Zack is joined by actor, comedian, and clown Cam Kiernan for a funny and insightful conversation about the world of clowning, acting, and why not all performers vibe with commercial gigs.
Cam breaks down why clown classes are actually super cool and how they’ve become a kind of alt-comedy bootcamp. They also talk about the creative tension actors face when jumping between personal, vulnerable work and more polished, commercial roles.
🎭 Topics include:
Why clowning feels like the new alt-comedy
The struggle some actors have with commercial work
Balancing creative freedom with industry expectations
Whether you're an actor, a comic, or just someone who likes hearing artists get real about their process, this episode hits that sweet spot between deep and ridiculous.

🎙️ LOST EPISODE: Brooke Bierhaus – Filmmaking, Coffee, and Connection
In this long-lost (but now found!) episode recorded back in 2023, I sit down with filmmaker and storyteller Brooke Bierhaus. We dive into her journey making The Connected Cup — a documentary exploring human connection through coffee culture around the world.
At the time of this recording, Brooke was also getting ready to open Third Space, her dream coffee shop and community hub. It hadn’t launched yet, so you’ll hear us talk about the vision and hopes behind it before it officially became a reality.
Big thanks and an even bigger apology to Brooke for the delay — I really thought this one was gone forever. So glad it's finally out in the world.
Topics Covered:
The making of The Connected Cup
Traveling and filming around the globe
The power of storytelling and shared rituals
Pre-launch thoughts on Third Space coffee shop
Finding connection through creativity
