Zambia scored big at the just ended Africa - USA Business Convention held in Las Vegas, USA. We had

54 delegates travel from Zambia and another 50 from the U.S., UK, Belgium and Canada among others. For the first time in the history of our Radio Station, ZBTR , the proceedings were broadcast live in Zambia via Radio Phoenix.Join us Saturday and hear the stories and experiences from those who were at the convention.

The Zambian Forum will be a sharing of information and interaction by the Zambian delegates to the first Africa-USA Business Convention in Las Vegas, Nevada. This forum is jointly sponsored by Zambia International Trade and Invest Center (ZITIC) and Zambia Blog Talk Radio (ZBTR)

Dr Mwandila works as a surgical registrar at Christchurch Hospital in New Zealand, where he has been for the past four years. He did his medical training at the University of Zambia, Ridgeway Campus.He will be talking to us about his work with the Mutima Project. "The aim of

the project is to perform life-saving heart operations on Zambians who would otherwise not have access to surgical treatment in the foreseeable future. Assist in the development of a sustainable infrastructure to deliver continued heart surgery in Zambia."

Hon Catherine Namugala is the Minister of Tourism, Environment and Natural Resources, and she is also MP for Isoka East constituency. She will discuss and shed light on Zambia's tourism industry and to what extent are the natural resources being harnessed for local development.

Recently a businessman in Livingstone complained about things being more expensive on the Zambian side in comparison to neighboring Zimbabwe, we will discuss government's policy towards partnering with the private sector to attract more tourists and investment in this sector.

Eunice Sinyemu is the head of policy and Deputy CEO at African HIV Policy network. She has previously worked for HIV Scotland as Information and Development Officer for the African and Minority Ethnic HIV Project. Prior to working for HIV Scotland, Eunice worked for Waverley Care as an African Outreach worker and conducted a needs assessment research on Africans living with HIV in Scotland. Hon Ronnie Shikapwasha is the Minister of Information and Broadcasting Services, MP for Keembe constituency and he is also the chief spokesperson for the government of the Republic of Zambia. In the past few weeks we hosted opposition party officials and we also raised alot of issues on our business forum. Hon Shikapwasha will clarify and respond to some of the raised issues and will inform us about the government's position. He will also discuss government's position on recent events in Egypt & Tunisia, much publicized ECZ saga, and upcoming elections among other issues.

Dr Jonathan Mulenga is a Consultant Surgeon at Kitwe Central Hospital and Head of the Surgery Unit.Among his other duties is teaching of Interns and he also runs a national programme known as Male Circumcision at Kitwe Central Hospital and Society for family Health, where they are using male circumcision as a tool for prevention of HIV.
