The Global e-Conference part II continues on this weekend with a Round Table discussion format from deliberations from the presentations and within the week on; 'Doing Business in Zambia' and 'Skills and Identity' respectively.

We would like to invite presenters who would like to share their vision for Zambia in the areas of Skills and Identity and Doing Business In Zambia on Zambia Blog Talk Radio, 10th October 2009. The three participants from each group will be allocated 5 minutes each for presentation on the show to be followed by open discussions.This will provide the foundation on which the week long email contributions will be based.

The Round table Team will address the following questions and the current affairs affecting our home land; 1. Introducing hourly wages in Zambia, are there any benefits? 2. Should the dearth penalty be abolished in Zambia? 3. Visiting Zambia after 10 or 15years, what will surprise you?

The Zambia Blog Talk radio team talks to Duncan Nyirongo current UNZASU President and Brian Yuyi former UNZASU President based in South Africa, on the subject of "Reforming UNZA." Most Zambians have a negative impression of the highest institution of learning in the country. Political antagonism, rioting, strikes and forced closures of the university is the norm.

The team will host a round table discussion on various issues.Is the United Nations still relevant? Wiring Zambia for 21st Century. Investment opportunities in Zambia. Zambia collects 3.5 to 4 revenue from copper, Botswana retains 60% from mineral resources. What is the problem? ZBTR has convened a high powered panel to discuss these issues.

Zambian Film Maker, Chansa Tembo, has impressed United States of America (US) Secretary of State Hillary Clinton with his award winning democracy Video. The Zambia Blog Talk radio team talks to Chansa Tembo, under the subject "The role of artists in promoting tourism in Zambia".

Hon Mangani joins us on the show to discuss the passport saga , since the government announced the extension period for renewing passports. We will also discuss immigration in Zambia and the role of the police force in the democratic process.

Mr. Olav Lundstol says Zambia will not benefit fully from the revenues collected from the extracted industries if it continues to depend on donor support. He noted that foreign support would always attach conditions when investing in the country and hence the government would only take a small percentage from the revenues realized from the extractive industries.
