Today's episode is about athletic development for kids and teens wanting to go to the next level in their chosen sport.
Genetics vs Hardwork
Picking the right sport for your child.
Don't specialize early.
Be the example.
Create the right environment.
The importance of resources.
Give your child the right opportunities.
Incidental exercise.
Sleep & nutrition.
Shoes - strengthen their feet.
Is stretching or rolling out really worth it?
Don't be an overbearing helicopter parent, let your kid catch the bug for their sport and enjoy the process.
Had a blast talking with Brandon about his upbringing/background, studying in Auckland, how and why he got into CrossFit, opening the first and only CrossFit affiliate in Samoa, nutrition and how it was the missing piece for himself personally and many of his members.
We also talked a bit about fatherhood, his own fitness journey and how it's led him into doing more swimming and triathlons lately.
Brandon does online nutrition coaching and has many other great health and fitness offers. Although he's achieved a lot already, he remains humble, constantly learning and growing where he can.

What a blessing podcasting is! Always a great excuse to connect with family and good friends that I haven't caught up with for a long time.
This week it was a pleasure to catch up good friend Andrew Fraser from Newcastle (my Hamilton Hawks Rugby & early CrossFit days)
Andrew was a cop/detective for 19 years and he shares about his journey throughout that time. How and why he got into the cops, leaving things at home after work, looking after your mental health as a cop, life after such a long career, Rugby Coaching and much more!
Fraser is a great bloke and I really enjoyed this chat as I'm sure you will too! #ZealousStateofMind #WesWesNet #GuruofGainz

Really enjoyed getting to know Logan as he started off by sharing about his upbringing and background.
Logan has overcome alot and achieved some great successes working with professional athletes, sport teams, novice trainees of all ages ranging from high school kids to senior citizens. I found what he had done already really impressive being such a young guy.
Logan is very driven, focused, disciplined and has goals that he is working hard towards. Already well known and respected in the industry, the humble big man is continually searching out ways to learn and grow.
Logan shares some great insights into injury prevention and how aspiring athletes can better look after their body as they strive towards their chosen sport.
Tune in and have your note book ready as one of the best in the nation shares some real gems #ZealousStateofMind #GuruofGainz #WesWesNet
What an amazing episode this was! The man has lived three lives and come out the other side stronger and wiser for it. You won't find many like DC with his energy and passion. Once he sets his mind to something, he's all in💯
