One thing I have not made clear up until now is the interaction between your view of who you are and how that impacts your view of the world. Your mindset creates your interaction with the world. From a very pragmatic approach, the world is neutral, in a sense. How you perceive it gives it light or darkness. Here's the thing though, once you imprint your view on it, you change your vibrational pattern and then those energies are manifested in the world around you and sent back to you to experience them more.
Today I talk about your relationship between the world and who you are.

We grow up believing so much; trusting in those who raised us. They try to instill in us the very principles that they abide by. Hopefully, they do so with the goal of protecting you and trying to make your life happy. However, ideas and thoughts you have about the world may still be the ones you grew up with. Some may still indeed be fitting, and some of them may not. Some of them were taught to you in order to help you navigate the world as a child.
You aren't a child anymore. But have you looked at the thoughts you grew up with since then? Have you changed them if you need to? Have you come to understand that whoever teaches you anything about the world imprints their beliefs upon you, knowingly or unknowingly. Sometimes we watched our parents and modeled not so much of what they said but what they did.
With all this said, today I am going to talk about how your view of the people of the world has been created and how you can assess if it still fits for you in your adult years. Of course, I will talk about how to make your view of the world more calm and purposeful.

The world is a beautiful place, filled with amazing people. In this world you are safe and calm, with all that you need. For others, the world is a dangerous place with threats that wait around every corner. They see the world as their enemy, competing for scarce resources.
Who's view is right? Neither. No one view is ever right. However, one view promotes a calmer life, one filled with abundance. The other is shorter and filled with anxiety.
Your subconscious runs your day. Many people don't even know what their thoughts of the world are, or the people in it. Today and all this week we are going to take steps to see where your mind is at and how to tweak it to see the good in the world.

I am a writer, so of course I understand the power of words. I love words, because they are indeed one of the ways we communicate our feelings, our hopes and desires. They help us express frustration, joy, anger and faith.
Today I am going to talk about a word that is often misunderstood and often misrepresented in western culture; namaste.
I will talk about the origin of the word and how it can be used to create community. You can bet I will offer a challenge that will start the week off right.

Because we want so desperately to be part of a group, to align with our caveman brain, we try everything to fit in. We go so far as to say yes to anyone and everyone when in some cases we definitely have no desire to do whatever is asked of us.
No is a word that many people don't like saying. It may lead to conflict or confrontation, or it may lead not being liked. Whatever the reason, it is a huge cause of stress and lost time. Let's face it, how many times have you overextended yourself by saying yes when you really wanted to say no?
After today you won't need to. I am going to share with you a great article that will demonstrate the best way to say no without guilt or worry.

Of course I am a guy that talks about mindfulness, alot. I definitely don't make any apologies for it either. I am not the only person who talks about it though. In fact, mindfulness is becoming a buzz word. That's not a bad thing. However, as popular as it is, I am not sure everyone is sure of what it means.
Today I not only talk about what it is. I talk about the benefits and the ways to experience it for yourself. Come listen as I talk about the ways to get it done.

Jason Lee is the founder of 30is30.com, a site dedicated to making sure that those convicted of sexual assault serve their entire sentence. He is also a contributor to 1in6.org an organization that helps men suffering from sexual abuse.
He is a father to a wonderful son, a dutiful husband and a giving son, himself. He is also a survivor of sexual assault that spanned several years starting in high school from a scout leader who is now serving time for the molestation of many other boys.
Jason is not on the show to talk about the his incident directly, but to demonstrate how even the most horrific events can be a source of light. In his youth he sought to wipe all of the trauma from his memory. In his words, he simply wanted to live a normal life. However, his life now is not normal, it is exemplary. He has taken the pain from his past and used it as a source of good, helping other men cope with the difficulty of unwanted sexual assault. He, along with other agencies, are helping the public realize that indeed men too are sexually abused. Together they help shed light on this topic, while also empowering as many men as they can, to live lives that are full and rich.
I am pleased to have Jason on the show to help teach us about what it means to live a life of meaning, regardless of circumstance, how light will always prevail.

Hey my friends, I am taking the day to tackle some technical problems, so in the meantime, listen to one of my favorite James Clear episodes that talks about how our memory isn't always the best thing for bringing us happiness. Enjoy.
