Without your support as listeners, we wouldn't be here in Season 4....so THANK YOU!!!! Additionally, thank you, #CatchSitkaSportFishing and #ACMEHomes, for your continued support as sponsors of this podcast!
Today, we sit down with Zev Young, a business leader with Novartis who also is The Professor of Sales at Bentley University. Zev also just started a new podcast called, Relationships Matter, which you can find on Anchor and other podcast platforms. Today, we learn from Zev, the dad, who is a Boston native that was raised by parents who were extremely hard workers. His father was a pharmacist who worked very long hours and, as Zev remembers, was chronically ill throughout his childhood. Yet, he was always there. He was his coach and a great human. Zev shares the story of his dad's lung transfer in 2000 and his passing in 2011.
Later in the episode, Zev shares a great story about Hannakuh. Zev also talked about the challenges of anti-semitism as he was one of the only Jewish families in his hometown. As you can imagine, that came with challenges around bullying, but it also taught him the power of teaching inclusivity as a dad. Our conversation shifted further into diversity and I shared how I was impacted by Dale Favors, who is someone I look up to greatly.
Zev gives simple yet, very powerful advice for us as dads:
