Zia Comics Nerdcast

I am a big fan of mystery boxes. It's kinda like Christmas or my birthday when I get one in the mail. I was a subscriber to BamBox, but alas, they are going away. In my search to find another mystery box subscription to fill that void I discovered Antihero Gallery!

Being a big fan of comic books, they definitely scratch that itch for me. They have a plethora of really cool variant covers you can purchase directly or you can try your luck with a mystery box. I opted for the CGC Blitz Box II.

This box has one CGC graded variant comic and 6 ungraded variants. 5 of the 6 variants I received were virgin variants, which was a very unexpected boost to my haul. This box cost $132.45 with tax, shipping, and a discount. After checking prices on these comics the value comes out around $280. I find this mystery box subscription to be well worth it, especially for collectors like me that love those beautiful variant covers.

I recommend trying Antihero Gallery whether you want to just buy a variant or two or if you want the thrill of opening that mystery box.

You may not be aware, but Bam Box is going away very soon. That prompted me to look for another mystery box-type service online. I ran across Stylin Online, which has a long list of themed mystery boxes. I chose the Cobra Kai box since I enjoy the series so much.

One caveat is that you must have an Amazon Prime account to get these boxes. The boxes start at $44 and go up in price depending on the box. I did not have a discount code, so the Cobra Kai box cost me $55.

Watch me unbox and review this box to see if you think it has value.

This highly detailed figure is based on The Scarlet Witch (Wanda Maximoff) from the Marvel series Wandavision. The face sculpt captures Elizabeth Olsen's look perfectly. The light up hands and psychic flames really elevate this figure to the next level. Scarlet Witch is a fantastic piece to add to any collection.

ABOUT

“This is Chaos Magic, Wanda. And that makes you the Scarlet Witch.” – Agatha Harkness
