by Elder Chris McCool, Pastor (preached on December 28, 2025)
In our series on the Book of Romans, we have come to chapter 12. But before we begin to look at Paul’s instructions on godly living and presenting our bodies a living sacrifice, we decided to do a quick review of what we have learned in the first eleven chapters. It is important to understand that our discipleship must be based upon our doctrine! In order to serve God properly, we need to know Who He is and what He has done for us. Join us today for this review of the first eleven chapters of Romans, leading us into Paul’s teachings on our duty beginning in Chapter 12.

In the second half of this powerful sermon by Elder Luke Hagler, we continue to see the warning by the writer of Hebrews about neglecting the great salvation that we have in Christ. This certainly is not referring to our eternal salvation, for we can never lose that. However, we CAN neglect our timely salvation here and now, and thus lose our assurance. Join us today as we continue to learn how to avoid neglecting the salvation that we have in Christ.

by Elder Neil Honea (preached on January 18, 2026)
In this powerful sermon, preached by Elder Neil Honea recently for us here at Zion Primitive Baptist Church, we learn about submitting ourselves one to another. Paul tells us in Ephesians that this “submission” is really “service” one to another. As we began to see in the first half of this sermon, we ought to be submitting to one another in our daily walk, which includes particularly the context of the family. Today, we continue looking at the ways in which we submit to one another, even in the workplace. Join us for the conclusion of this message about service.

In the first half of this sermon, preached at Zion back in 2013 by Elder Tim McCool, we learned that while there are many things in life that will inevitably deteriorate and break, the Scripture cannot be broken. The word of God is permanent, and has stood the test of time. Moreover, it will continue to stand until the Lord comes back, and indeed throughout eternity! Please join us today for the second half of this powerful sermon about the accuracy and permanency of Scripture.

As we closed out the year 2025, we were blessed to have Elder Kenneth Nowell, Pastor of Piedmont Primitive Baptist Church in South Georgia, to visit with us. He reminded us from Malachi 3:6 that it is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, and that we have sure and certain promises from God upon which we can stand. Join us today for this reminder that our hope is built on nothing less than the sure promises of God.

When Christ came the first time, the Jews by and large were unsuspecting and unprepared. But if they had studied the Book of Daniel, they should have known the general timeframe of the Messiah’s arrival on the scene. In Daniel 9, God gave them a timeline through Daniel’s prophecy of “seventy weeks of years.” In this prophecy, although it speaks of weeks, each day in these weeks represents one year. When we trace out the timeline, we can see that this prophecy should have prepared any who studied it for the first coming of Jesus and His ultimate sacrifice. Due to the somewhat detailed and technical nature of this sermon, we want to post it without any breaks, so it will be a little longer than usual. But please join us today for our attempt to expound upon Daniel’s Seventy Weeks of Years.
