Being in Christ, gives you access. The doctrine of what it means to be in Christ is the heartbeat of the Gospel.

The day of Pentecost was a Jewish festival celebrated 50days from the passover, during this period Jews from different nations would return to Jerusalem to celebrate this event.

There's the indwelling of the holy ghost and the infilling of the holy ghost.

The indwelling of the holy ghost happened in John 20:22..we see the infilling of the holy ghost in acts 2.

Why did the Holyspirit come as a rushing mighty wind?

This was important because the Jews were familiar with interactions with God accompanied by natural phenomenons, they knew how God led them by the pillar of fire and cloud, the parting of the red sea by winds, so the advent of the holy spirit with the rushing mighty wind was to point them to the fact that the event happening was something that God ordained.

The day of Pentecost was a one off event, we should not expect that level of manifestation when someone today is getting filled with the spirit.

On the subject of tongues as a gift of the Spirit. There's speaking in tongues which is direct communication with God and there's the speaking in other languages which is a miraculous sign by the Holy spirit.

Reading through the sermon of Peter we see

How the sacrifice of Jesus was preordained, Jesus however is life and could not be held by death so God had to raise him up.

The message of Peter was to accomplish two major things

Explain the event that they just witnessed.

Explain that everything that happened with Jesus was preordained by God and to affirm the Lordship and salvation present in christ.

Your identity in Christ is not based on opinions, achievements, or past mistakes—it is rooted in who God says you are. You are chosen (1 Peter 2:9), fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and a new creation in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17).

Walk boldly in this truth, because when you know who you are in Him, nothing can shake you.

YOU ARE WHO GOD SAYS YOU ARE.

In the last session of this series we learnt about four ways to become THE ONE.

Master Your Identity, Master Your Craft, Master Your Value, Master Your Relationship.

• To recognize the right one, you must first become the right one. Who you are determines who you attract. Marriage complements, not completes you. The greatest gift to your spouse is a strong self-concept—knowing, accepting, and embracing who you are.

• Mastery is turning your ability into value—when you refine it, people will recognize and pay for it. Own your assignment and purpose. Being with someone without a craft or a sense of purpose is a dangerous path.

• To attract the right one, you must first become a person of value—knowing and embracing your worth. Marrying someone without value is a risk. The law of recognition helps you see the right one, as their values will align with yours.

• Mastering relationships starts with respect—honor everyone, but understand that not everyone you desire is meant for you. Pay attention to how a person treats those who offer them nothing; it reveals their true character. The ultimate principle of recognizing the one is to become the one.

• When you become the one that you should be, you won't have a problem recognizing the one for you.

In this second session, we learnt why boundaries matter in relationships

1. Friendship First – Build a godly friendship before expressing romantic feelings. Take time to truly know the person.

2. Talking Stage – Guard your heart, set clear boundaries, and communicate your intentions early. This stage should not exceed a month.

3. Relationship – Maintain boundaries, prioritize open communication, and stay accountable to a trusted mentor or pastor. Avoid secrecy, surround yourselves with godly friends, and for ladies, set healthy boundaries with in-laws (e.g., no cooking for a fiancé).

L - Love God First: True love starts with loving God. Knowing His heart through His Word helps you love others.

O - Operate in Joy: Joy is rooted in God’s Word, not circumstances. Keeping your joy, even in hard times, leads to growth.

V - Value Relationships: Surround yourself with good friends who align with your growth. Be intentional, friendly, and accommodating.

E - Evaluate Your Words: Your words shape your life. Speak what God says about you, not negative or limiting beliefs.
