With nobody else to turn to for support McKayla turns to an unlikely ally to investigate an alien in Massachusetts, a ghost moose in Maine, and a mad scientists writing peer review on a mythological monster.

There are worse things in the world than the cryptids of McKayla's files. Monsters walk the streets in the clothes of men. The howling of an Ozarks beast calls to the darkness in the heart of a terrorist, while the statement of another woman reveals a chance encounter with the Man in the Charcoal Hat.

It's Halloween, and there are Skeletons in New Jersey, a blood thirsty creature in Massachusetts, and a beast in the bayou.
