各國貨幣的英文名稱不盡相同，雖然現在因為疫情的關係, 不像以往能夠隨性出國, 但若是能夠了解各國幣值的說法, 在平日生活上還是很幫助的。例如台灣是用新台幣 (New Taiwan Dollar, 簡稱NTD), 大陸用人民幣 (簡稱RMB), 美國用美元 (U.S. Dollar), 歐洲十七國用歐元 (Euro), 英國用英鎊 (Pound), 日本用日圓 (Yen), 韓國用韓元 (Won), 印度用盧比(Rupee), 泰國用泰銖(Baht)......等等。

娘: What do you mean?    妳只指?
珍: It used to be 30 New Taiwan Dollars to  1 U.S. Dollar. But now it's around 27 N.T.  dollars to 1 U.S. dollar.
     以前一直都是30台幣對1美元, 現在的匯率都落在27元台幣對1美元。
娘: WOW! What a big difference! But now it's a good time to buy U.S. Dollars, right?
     哇! 真是大不同! 但現在是買進美元的好時機, 對嗎?
珍: That's right! I'm thinking about doing that!
