The first night I had just finished my last day of work at the factory. I was about to endeavor on a journey out west, in search of a successful music career. I had a week to get ready for the trip, and on that first night, I recorded this. Phone conversation, record spinning, and an excellent vibe.

A newscast echoes through the corridors as some lonely busker plays from his soul, not caring if anyone is there to listen.

As kids, my brother and I would play in the yard at night, hiding from the headlights of cars passing by, because if they saw us they would eat us alive!

At first you’re not sure what you’re getting into. It’s a circus! Playful and fun, but something’s slightly wrong, and weirdly disturbing.

A funky dance vibe resounds through echoing, expansive synths and a tripped out jam.

On this album,“Church of the Universe” is the exception on to my track-a-day stint. It came a few months later, after I had traveled much, and then come home and bought my first computer based recording system. It kinda fits in, despite it’s vastly different recording method. I guess this song somehow represents the landing after the leap, the shore that welcomed me home after a wild, tumultuous journey.
