  • White Spinner Moon
The first night I had just finished my last day of work at the factory. I was about to endeavor on a journey out west, in search of a successful music career. I had a week to get ready for the trip, and on that first night, I recorded this. Phone conversation, record spinning, and an excellent vibe.
    Chill, lofi. Lo-fi, hip-hop, chill

  • Monster Trucks
As kids, my brother and I would play in the yard at night, hiding from the headlights of cars passing by, because if they saw us they would eat us alive!

  • Church of the Universe
A funky dance vibe resounds through echoing, expansive synths and a tripped out jam.
On this album,“Church of the Universe” is the exception on to my track-a-day stint. It came a few months later, after I had traveled much, and then come home and bought my first computer based recording system. It kinda fits in, despite it’s vastly different recording method. I guess this song somehow represents the landing after the leap, the shore that welcomed me home after a wild, tumultuous journey.

About ZzA!

From the publisher's feed

2005 Ariel Powell. At a very pivotal and inspired point in my life, I created each of these songs in one day. I had been playing in a local party/jam band, and I was really feeling the jazzy, dancey, rasta-funky vibe of what we’d been playing. So I took advantage of my week off, and put as much of that into the record as I could.
