Happy Birthday Church! Acts 2 January 12, 2020
Today, we’re going to see how this verse is even more powerful than an ax and 2 38s. Last week we started our adventure in the Book of Acts and found that who was the author? Dr. Luke. The same one who wrote the Gospel of Luke. And we found out that a better title for the book would be the Acts of the Holy Spirit for He is found throughout it. We also discovered the theme of bearing witness for Jesus with the dynamite power of the Holy Spirit and that the disciples were to do this in Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. And they did. And we are to continue their work. We also discovered the importance of prayer in our witnessing and I hope that you’ve prayed for the people on your Andrew List this week and that you will continue pray them out of hell and into Heaven! The early disciples met together constantly in prayer. By the time we finished Acts 1, the promised Power and Spirit had not yet arrived so they are still looking for Him expectantly. All of Acts 1 sets the stage for what will happen in Acts 2.
