Astrology highlights for the week of May 8th:

00:51 – The theme of this week is, “two ears and one mouth.” Celeste begins with an overview of the week! The main transit is that Mercury stations retrograde (Rx) at 4 Gemini; it will move back to 26 Taurus. The trickster is in the sign where he has the most strength to make mischief until June 3! As Mercury stations at 26 Taurus on fixed star Algol, watch for figurative beheadings. Tune in for Celeste’s examples of Mercury Rx times, and how it might show up in the news.

05:36 – The chart for the station shows a couple of challenges: Mercury is square the Moon in Virgo, and contraparallel Pluto. Remember: Slow down, double-check your work, triple-check your emails, be reflective, and have a sense of humor! And leave your cat filters off!

07:49 – Jupiter enters Aries on May 10 (through Oct 27).  It was previously in the sign of the ram in 2010 and 2011. Aries rules sports, competition, war, inflammation, law enforcement, and impulsivity, among other things.

09:54 – Pay attention on May 11: Jupiter at 0 Aries semisquares Uranus at 15 Taurus, both on world points! Will we see big news?

11:02 – On Sunday, the word of the day is “joy.” Happy Mother’s Day! We have a Leo First Quarter Moon (the Sun is in Taurus) – let your inner child out. Also, Venus and Jupiter are contraparallel, emphasizing fun, play, and harmony with your loved ones.

12:54 – Monday’s key word is “preparation.” Take the time to start the week right with careful planning, as the Moon is in Virgo.

13:51 – On Tuesday, the word is “humor.” This is the day that Mercury turns Rx  (4:47am PT). Also, Jupiter enters Aries (4:21pm PT).

14:27 – The theme for Wednesday is “initiative.” Where in your life do you want to step up and show leadership or declare independence? This is the day Jupiter semisquares Uranus. The Moon enters Libra today.

15:08 – The word of the day for Thursday is “duck”! Things may feel unpredictable, as Mercury Rx is contraparallel Pluto Rx, and Venus is contraparallel Neptune. Use today for determination and discipline, and watch for dishonesty and manipulation.

16:22 – Friday’s word is “present.” Watch who you meet, as the Sun joins the North Node.

17:07 – On Saturday, the theme is “safety.” The Moon enters Scorpio, and we’re building to the Lunar Eclipse. Also, Mars is sextile the North Node.
