Poem One:
"Ramblings and Sweet Treats" - Josh Lynott
Poem by Josh:
Life is full of sweet treats.
Sweets for the eyes, soul, mouth, and heart.
Every part of us craves something sweet.
To feel like a kid on a country swing.
Devouring organic butter from country markets.
Running in the rain, drying dirty feet.
All of these are things so sweet.
What a joy to know we have so much more, more to meet, more that's sweet.
One day, life will be slower.
The process has already begun.
If there was a way to reverse this fast life, we have nearly found the answer.
The world doesn't need our replies.
The world needs home cooked meals.
The world needs barefoot walks.
Perhaps, the adventure of disconnect
ia the exact path to connect.
As the days go by, we shall not seek answers,
that is time not well spent.
Living with love will reveal
all the answers we didn't need to search for.
Yet right now, it is here
a life full of sweet treats.
Isn't that the greatest joy of all. - JL
Poem Two: Louis Stenmark
Buyers & Renters
There’s buyers and there’s renters
There’s borrowers and there’s lenders
There’s housers and there’s tenters
They are come ins and they’re don’t enters
There’s students and their mentors
There’s diminishers and extenders
There’s listeners and objectors
They’re attackers and they’re protectors
This and that
That and this
That is mine
You can’t have his
You and me
US and them
Wouldn’t it better
If we forgot
now and then
Questions:
What are the little one percenters that can often be overlooked in your life?
Where are you lacking biodiversity in your life?
