I’ve spent a lot of time in the Banking and Financial Services industry so through natural curiosity stayed abreast of what is happening when it comes to the fall out of Final Report of the Royal Commission into Misconduct in the Banking, Superannuation and Financial Services Industry. Not only were there cases of actual misconduct, but rather a myriad of events that led up to this royal commission. The Governance and Risk Management practices employed by these entities did not prevent such misconduct. Yes; it’s that simple. In this episode, I discuss what happened, why it happened and share my ideas on what can be done to prevent issues arising again.
