Recorded: Thursday, 2nd of April, 2026
Location: Melbourne, Australia / Hoi An, Vietnam
Support with a coffee:
I want to go running
so the world feels lighter by midday
and my mind dances samba
so birds chase me down long streets
and flowers stand taller in their pots
Petunias, gardenias, and frangipanis.
I want to go running
Not for the sake of it
Or to collect medallions, and timestamps
Not for the conversation it allows me
Or to compare myself to peers
Not for the sick joys of judgement
how fast, how far, where’d you finish.
I want to go running
So the sunrise talks to me in pinks and oranges
And the buildings hold up mirrors
So the light feels soft at every angle
And the streets hum quiet melodies
so my steps feel the rhythm of impact
and I remember that all
I ever wanted
Was just to go running.
