Poem: "What happens on the days I can't write poems?"
What happens on the days I can't write poems,
when the words don't rhyme and my rhythm is out of time?
I'll still put pen to paper
and let my brain melt.
Maybe one day,
I'll look back and see something heartfelt?
I don't know know if heaven is up there
or down there,
I truly believe it's where my feet are,
right here.
I change my mind day to day,
writing poems is like childs play.
Scrambling, jumbling, switching, swapping, noting, observing.
That's whats happens to my words when I spend too much time running.
On the days I can't write poems,
this is what you get.
A few words before my brain resets.
Questions:
What are you resisting?
How can you bring awareness to the different forms of resistance?
Journal prompt:
Where can I focus my attention this week which will improve my life/myself?
Books to read:
War on Art - Steven Pressfield.
