Astrology highlights for the week of August 28, 2022:

00:49 – This week's theme is: Protecting Treasure! The Sun is on fixed Star Thuban (at 7 Virgo), which speaks to "the dragon who guards or hoards." How can you protect what is precious to you this week?

01:32 – The three big things this week: First, Venus in Leo is under pressure as she travels from 20 to 27 Leo. Last week, Venus (love, money, values, relationships) squared the North Node and Uranus; this week, we start the week with her opposition to Saturn, which can feel like a test of commitments. Bernadette Brady says that with an opposition, it can feel like someone or something outside of yourself forces you to make a decision. How can you learn from someone else's actions? Venus is also quincunx Neptune (disillusionment, emotional overwhelm, spirituality) and then quincunx Pluto (power struggles, endings, big money), which can move you into a new situation or feel like a release or letting go. 06:43 – Second, we have a First Quarter (FQ) Moon at 11 Sagittarius on Saturday. The New Moon of December 4, 2021 began this Lunar Phase Family and was a solar eclipse: Stories may be revealed or come to a turning point. Is it time to take action regarding something that began then? The Sun and the Moon square and their rulers are in opposition, bringing some friction (Mercury is at 7 Libra about to go retrograde is opposite Jupiter at 6 Aries). You may see decisions about relationships vs. independence with the Saturn-Uranus square. Try to avoid impulsivity.

09:26 – Third, a great topic for Virgo season is horary astrology, which is one of Celeste's offerings! This technique takes an analytical mind, precision and intuition to practice. People with Virgo energy in their charts tend to gravitate toward it! The Querent asks a clear and concise specific question, and a chart is cast for the moment the astrologer understands the question. (For example, “Will I get the job” or "Where is my lost wedding ring?") For a clear answer, the question is supposed to be personal, pressing, positively framed. A yes/no question is great! And for this technique, it's best if the Querent gives all the background.

14:03 – On Sunday, the word of the day is COMMITMENT. The week starts with the Moon in Virgo. Venus opposes Saturn today, and Mercury is parallel Neptune.

15:13 – On Monday, the theme is AWARENESS. The Moon enters Libra at 2:44 am PT. Chiron is quincunx the South Node in Scorpio.

16:45 – Tuesday's focus is BOLDNESS. The Sun is parallel Altair, and quincunx Jupiter. The Crescent Moon phase begins at 22 Libra at 8:57 pm: We start to see the light and may feel an internal push to move forward.

18:05 – On Wednesday, the word is STRATEGIZE. The Moon enters Scorpio at 10:10am PT.

20:26 – On Thursday, the theme is CONSCIOUSNESS. Mars in Gemini sextiles Jupiter in Aries: Avoid impulsivity.

22:31 – On Friday, the emphasis is EXUBERANCE. The Moon enters Sagittarius at 3:39pm PT. Mercury in Libra opposes Jupiter in Aries.

23:51 – On Saturday, the word is EXERCISE! We have the FQ Moon at 11 Sagittarius at 11:07 am PT.
