Meet Lars Säfverström, Non-Executive Director of the GAC Main Board. Lars has been in the maritime world for a very long time. He gives us the perspective from working in other cultures, how you need to keep your eyes on the ball at all times and how Internet of Everything will impact the shipping industry.

Lars joined GAC in 1987 and was appointed Group President in July 1998 after serving as GAC's Regional Director for the Middle East. Prior to that he had served in various Management positions within GAC. He became Co-Chairman of the Group in 2012 and retired in November last year. He now holds the title of Non-Executive Director of the GAC Main Board.
