She is the Founder and first Secretary General of YoungShip International, has a background with Wilh. Wilhelmsen, consultancy for the OECD and Sea Trucks (Nigeria), numerous board positions and much more.

Birgit has a drive for a sustainable & diverse maritime industry, keeps repeating that the future is now and is an Entrepeneur at heart.
