We’re talking with Valentina Pavel, legal researcher at the Ada Lovelace Institute – an independent UK-based research and deliberative body with a remit to ensure that data and AI work for people and society.

She is also part of ApTI Romania, a digital rights NGO, member of a network of 42 organisations present in Brussels as European Digital Rights.

The topic – data ownership in the digital sphere and the future of our data. Is putting a price tag on data the solution or does it create more problems with the ways we produce data trails and with the ways these data trails are consumed by internet companies and other entities?
