In this new subseries of ProveText, which we're calling "Glossa" (the Greek word for "language"), we'll be offering readings of ancient texts, usually Scripture, aloud in ancient languages. You can expect to hear stuff read in Hebrew, Aramaic, Greek, and Latin. Want to hear something read? Let us know and we can try to give it a go. Also, please note that we are purposefully reading very slowly in these episodes for the purposes of pronunciation and helping listeners practice. The first episode is Mk 1:1-7 in Greek using the Koine Era Pronunciation (KEP). Enjoy!
