I am a huge fan of the Dear Jane quilt. I have one started (key word!).. and when I spotted a cool version of it I had to find out what it was all about! Friend Kim Caskey and Jeltje van Essen also share a love of the Dear Jane quilt. They have worked on some projects together and crafted the idea of a friendship version with the blocks colored as interlocking hearts. This layout is simply divine! Kim is going to tell me about the project, I can't wait!

Tonya Alexander of Eye Candy Quilts is a regular contributor to American Patchwork & Quilting Magazine. Everytime I see one of her quilts in the magazine I start thinking of pulling fabric! She is also a huge fan of scrap quilts and her new book 'Stash Lab' is pretty darn awesome!

Teri Tope is a Author, designer, teacher and award winning quilter. When I saw her book 'The Quilted Portrait' had to find out more! She breaks down her process so well and I am excited to have her share some of it with us. Plus I am hoping for a tip or two from such a creative person on how to look at photos and find ones that will translate well to fabric.

I'm always excited to find projects featuring precut fabric. Those are Fat Quarter bundles, jelly rolls, layer cakes and charm packs. There are a ton of advantages to working with these fabric bundles and a ton of fun things you can make. But sometimes we just are not sure how they will look, and with a set amount of fabric we can get stuck. Designer and Author Angela Pingel has a new online workshop using them and we are going to talk details of precuts today!
