In 2013, Greg Jackson was a young man working as the Southern Regional and Gun Violence Issue Coordinator for the nonprofit Organizing for Action, a grassroots organization committed to moving forward with President Obama's agenda of empowering people in their own communities to fight and move forward on key issues. He also then became the victim of random gun violence. In this podcast, Greg joins JJ and special guest Christian (VP of Policy at Brady) to talk about being a survivor, a community activist, and his work as the National Advocacy Director for the Community Justice Action Fund, which is committed to reducing gun violence by empowering those most impacted by violence to lead, organize, advocate and create solutions in their neighborhoods, states, and country. We also talk about an amazing GVP hero we recently lost, and murderous labs. Yes, you read right, murderous labs.
