If you allow pride in your heart, it has the ability to take over and even reason with justification. 

Pride is a beast that will continue to feed off of your broken heart, and the bitterness that is inside if you are not careful. This is why it is imperative to continually work on yourself. And by working on yourself, means to love yourself, that's right, love YOU!

You may think it is a selfish thing to take care of yourself, especially if you are constantly taking care of others. And this need to take care of others can be a stem from this place of pride. Think about this question for a moment…. “Does everyone come to you for their solution, and how does that make you feel?” Ok, that was 2 questions, but both are equally the power that pride steps into. Here’s another question… “What if they (people) stopped coming to you for all of their solutions, and where would that leave you, and how will you function in the moments of only you?” Hard questions? Absolutely! They are needed for hard-core solutions for you to begin to love yourself and not the need to take care of everyone else in life. This place is “Self-Love”, and you must understand that it is not a selfish place to be. Now, understand this… Selfish love is everything about YOU, Selfless Love for Self is really being able to love you, in order to love someone else to help them through their pain

Today is for a total recall of the heart! When a car manufacturer recalls a part or device on a car, it is because they have seen patterns of system failure, or breakdowns.... so, the engineers get together and troubleshoot to gather the right information and target the troubled areas.

This same principle applies to your heart, when there is a breakdown in the system, the “Engineer” the Holy Spirit, God, or Higher Power begins to see patterns and runs the reports of your heart. He will find the breakdown in the system and the long-term fix to keep you on track. The system failures can be pride... and the only thing that will break the pride down in your life is love.

Love from the creator, the inventor, or the engineer may be something that is foreign when you first sense it or come near it. This is especially foreign when your life hasn’t really been exposed to this thing called love. But when you begin to open yourself to be open to others, pride doesn’t fit any longer, it’s a square peg in a round hole! And maybe, just maybe… This is why you are that square peg in a round hole everywhere you go. However, don't fret, there is a solution. And that solution is introspecting, and digging inside you….

Are you operating as a victim or a victor?

Whether you just jumped out of bed or you are halfway through your day, ask yourself that question. See, the way you operate tells a lot about your character and the way you lean to humility or pride.

Pride is proof that you lead your life with some sort of victim mentality. The pride I am talking about is that pride that tells you and other people, you are never wrong, you can never be wrong, or will ever admit that you are wrong. So, why is that a victim mentality? Simple, the victim in you is building walls and barriers that cover the pain and the abuse that at some point in your life, you were inflicted with. This abuse could be words, emotional, physical, and mental. This is a dangerous place for you, and it does not fit you well.

Now, the victor is the action that you take in your moments of pride, to make your life and the life of others around you a lot more pleasant by working through your spiritual paralysis. When you work through this process, you will live and lead a life of freedom that you have never experienced before. Breaking down the walls of insecurity, abandonment, and rejection will bring you to the place of humility, which will in turn give you the power to overcome anything that you put your mind to. But, you won't be able to do it alone, you will need an accountability partner and mentor. But most importantly, you need God to lead you into all truth so that you can be Set Free!

Have you ever been in a room that has a very dim light? I mean you try and try to focus on what’s in the room, squinting your eyes and getting close to objects, bumping into obstacles, just to find out what you’re looking for isn’t even there? Wow, that’ll preach! Truth is, a dim light in a dark room will never truly illuminate everything that needs to be seen.

This goes the same with our spirit and our hearts. When our lives are dim, our outlook at times can reflect that as well. But, when we let the try light in, which is Christ Jesus... I mean really truly allow Him as the light of our lives, all dimness gets out of the way! See, pride is the light dimmer, and it will cause isolation and aloneness to be the number one focus in your life.... and you hold the power of choice!

In the good choices, you will begin to see the light in your life shine that much brighter. You begin to see the illumination much clearer than ever before because the light that shines from within is in expansion mode. This happens because of what you have allowed in, that determines what shines through.

Pride is one of the greatest downfalls that you can ever have. It deuterates and destroys your mind when you are not careful. Relationships fail from pride, business, and ministry as well. It is imperative that you continue to bring the walls down that keep you isolated from the truth. Abuse is one of the other sides where pride kicks in. How?

Pride covers up the fact that abuse is in the atmosphere. Abuse can cause you to kill your own destiny, because of love that is tied to it. However, there is hope. You have the hope that God will set you free in the areas that have kept you bound, and feeling hopeless. You have the reassurance that you, too, can be free in the areas such as, the relationships and friendships that were toxic. Those relationships and friendships cause the downward spiral to take effect. You are encouraged to examine yourself today and find that area of pride that you just may need to be chipped away, my friend.

Do you like when you hear someone tell you, “You’re doing a great job!”? Does your day seem way lighter, even if you woke up great when someone gives you a kind word? Did that one affirmation give you hope?

Here’s a question for the believer in the faith,

How do you feel when you read in the Word that God loves everything about you? Pretty darn good, right?

This goes the same with everyday interaction with those around you, at your job, your home, your business, and or ministry.

So, how does all of this work for the one speaking and receiving? When you speak to someone in a way that blesses them and brings them to a place of recognition, you have no clue what that just may do to that person to free them at that moment. In turn, when you are giving those affirming words to someone, it's almost as if you are storing a blessing in the vault of life.

Have you been the person that has received the encouraging words? That is part of the vault. Did it make you smile and be more productive? That came from the vault.

So, when you affirm someone be intentional about it, you just never know where and how that boomerang may change your life.
