If you're there to protect assets, the question you will have to ask is, what assets are there to protect? Starting out this way, you naturally enter the conversation with an open mind and curiosity to see what ELSE might be around you besides writing another term policy on a family. And, don't get me wrong- covering a family with a term policy is a lot of what we do.
