1000: Looking Back At 1,000 Podcast Interviews With Tech Leaders

Listen Later

As a long-time sufferer of imposter syndrome, I have been waiting for someone to tap me on the shoulder and say that's it mate, we are onto you now. But guess what? Nothing happened, and I now find myself with 1,000 interviews with tech leaders from all over the world.

Over the last four years, I have spoken with tech leaders from Microsoft, Adobe, IBM, Sony, and Lenovo. I have also learned how technology has transformed Manchester United, Real Madrid, F1 Racing, and even Fender Guitars. Then there were the surreal moments that Talk Show Host Wendy Williams and Star Treks William Shatner came on the podcast for a chat.

However, it was the startup stories of bootstrapping entrepreneurs that really inspired me on this journey. Individuals that came across a problem and left their day job behind to create a solution that will help others. It's a rollercoaster ride of ups and downs. But I hope that some of these stories will help and inspire others on their journey too.

In today's episode, I look back at some of the highlights and critical lessons that I have learned along the way after chatting with over 1,000 tech leaders from all over the world. Maybe one day, I will gather these lessons and quotes for a book called something like "Lessons learned from chatting to 1,000 tech leaders."

Speaking of books, my first book will be released next year. After watching hundreds of TED talks, I have created a guide book on how any organization or entrepreneur can stay successfully innovate. My publisher has just sent me a copy of the first book cover draft. You can find out how to win a copy in today's episode.

The secret sauce behind the success of this daily tech podcast is the audience. With listeners in 165 countries, it's you and your input that ensures we feature as many voices and opinions as possible. Together we can ensure that none of us get too comfortable inside an echo chamber that supports rather than challenges our worldview.

I hope you will continue to join me on this ride and prove to the world that technology really does work best when it brings people together.
