Having been the beneficiary of the Golden Guardians Gives 503(c)(3) public charity, 100 Thieves now enjoys sole possession of 3rd place in the LCS standings after what is recorded by the impartial historians as a 2-0 weekend. Happily for 100T fans, playoffs is looking good - and there may even be an explanation for the team’s slow spring start. Mithy revealed in an interview that the org granted its players a more relaxed schedule as they recharged after a long grind for 2021 postseason. The dads debate whether this truly explains our performance and whether it’s ultimately a good decision in the long view of winning another LCS title. They also tackle listener takes, rejoice in the bans of the weekend, and put the 6-man roster legend to bed for good.

For the first time in forever - a weekend of 100T performing in line with expectations. That’s something we can build on, right??? The 100Talk dads are back to cover what was a pretty decent loss against Team Liquid and an enthusiastic win against CLG. Despite the notable improvements, some questions linger: Do we need more champions in our pools? Are we seeing more of the old 100T problems crop up again? Can Ssumday carry all the time? Where on earth is our bot lane’s potency? Jordan and Cole also review the recent update from PapaSmithy on reddit on Tenacity & The Long-Rumored 6-Man Roster and lay out what it does and does not tell us. Plus, as always - listener takes and predictions for week 6. We ALWAYS predict week 6, it’s great.
Let’s do some 100Talkin’.

The Spring of Perplexity abides. In perhaps the most exasperating weekend for 100T fans, the Thieves secured a (relatively) meaningless win against a floundering TSM, a backbreaking loss of could-have-been for C9, and a complete mental lapse against Dignitas. After a round robin that defied all expectations - and not in a good way, fans are left with more questions than answers. The dads try to reasonably assess the issues: Ssumday 1v9, stale drafting, the shocking disintegration of our bot lane, and a Corki flying on autopilot by the name of Abbedagge. They also address calls for roster changes, the importance of the next couple of weekends, and even a hypothesis of behind-the-scenes issues. It’s a packed 100Talk ready for you kids - come and eat it up!

The Spring of Perplexity abides. After a systematic dismantling of Golden Guardians, 100 Thieves drops its third game of 2022 to everyman squad FlyQuest. 4-2 certainly isn’t a bad record, but it hasn’t stopped 100T fans from behaving as if the sky is falling. The finger seems to be most often pointing at Abbedagge, so the dads dive in to sort out whether blaming him is warranted. They also discuss the perils of objective bounty gold, how alternative comps are flipping games in the meta, and the REAL reason for the loss against FLY - Tricia’s Ikebana Curse.
The split is young, 100T fans. Come to your dads for counsel.

What could have been an excellent 2nd week of 100 Thieves LCS unfortunately got a big ugly black eye when the squad threw a lead and dropped a game to the questionable Immortals. Fortunately, the bounce-back was real as the boys rallied to dismantle a very talented Evil Geniuses team. The dads spend a lot of time discussing what Ssumday’s excellent form means for the planned 6-man 100T roster and whether we’ll see Tenacity in the LCS this split. They also tackle the Tryndamere pick, Abbedagge’s 40,000 damage Viktor, and tackle a slew of listener takes (mostly about the 6-man roster again but hey!). It’s time to 100Talk.

Rumors of 100T’s demise have been greatly exaggerated. The champs entered the 2022 spring split as underdogs to TL and came out…overdogs. With a clean 2-0 and a slow, calculated style, the Thieves look to have shaken off their poor Lock In performance like Jay-Z brushing his shoulder off. Jordan and Cole host a fireside to talk about the team’s adapted strategy and the new Berry buff, plus defend Abbedagge against way-too-early accusations of him being a merely “okay” player. Of course, they also take time to answer their kids’ questions about the team and make prophetic proclamations on the coming weekend’s matches. 100Talk is back in form as well - listen up, yall.

Defying all predictions, expectations, and logic, 100 Thieves were promptly bounced from the LCS Lock In tournament in quarterfinals by a scrappy(???) Dignitas team. The Thieves will have to watch the rest of the tourney from home like us peasants. Despite very strong showings against some teams during the group stage, it seems there is much rust to be shaken off. The dads get together to talk about whether 100T is doing justice to their 6-man roster concept, what we learned about Ssumday and Tenacity, what’s going on with Abbedagge, and why we may need a different drafting approach for the bot lane. Plus, they answer a record number of listener questions and takes. ARE WE IN SHAMBLES PEOPLE??? Maybe. We’ll have to wait a couple of weeks to really find out.
Time to 100Talk!

100T’s LCS Lock In started out as planned, but quickly took an unexpected turn with the subbing in of Tenacity and the subsequent destruction at the hands of an anemic FlyQuest squad. If the dads were in a tough position trying to draw any conclusions about the 2022 Thieves before, things just got a lot more complicated. They discuss the merits of Tenacity criticism and the strategy of a 6-man roster, as well as the meaning of a veteran Ssumday presence on a reigning LCS championship team. They also reluctantly play blame game with early missteps and field listener takes (including the return of caster records courtesy of Austin Beck!). 100Talk is already in full swing, so come on down.

The dads are back from basking in the glow of an LCS title and a dominating Worlds victory over EDG. The holiday season gave Jordan and Cole plenty of time to think about the important questions about the upcoming season, like in which fashion 100T will win Worlds. In this pre-Lock-In episode of 100Talk, they break down whether Lock-in will be meaningful for the Thieves and the league as a whole, what the measuring stick for success is during the tournament, and reframing expectations of a winning organization. Plus, a segment in which Cole puzzles over how 100T could not possibly be considered favorites at this moment. Sounds like another fine podcast, so grab a glass of Rip It and take it alllllll in.

Today, the dads just happened to have JungleJuice lined up to interview. They were gifted with the announcement of 100T's 2022 LCS roster and the signing of General Sniper to 100X just before the podcast. Funny how things work sometimes.
With 100T winning the onseason AND (seemingly) the offseason, Jordan and Cole speak with 100T Head of LoL Strategy and Analytics Joseph "JungleJuice" Jang. They ask how the team felt about their Worlds performance, what magic went into a winning LCS season, and the "good problem to have" - an incredible surplus of talent at the developmental level.
