Haters and doubters were out in full force last week, but 100 Thieves rallied for a very convincing 2-0 weekend that included a boring, yet calculated win against TL and a birthday bash for Ssumday against IMT. Jordan and Cole revel in the glory of victory, with their trust in Abbedagge validated (at least for now). They also analyze the playstyle shift the team has made and its parallel to the 2018 Thieves - are we new, old, AND improved? The dads seem to think so….

After a vacation break, the dads are back in town and ready to guide you through the spit that fulfills your faith in PapaSmithy, 100 Thieves, and humanity. A sputtering start to the split has made some fans concerned, but are the fathers worried as well? They break down what they liked and didn’t like from the past weekend’s games and try to calm the nerves as this team shakes off the proverbial dust.

Esports fans tend to believe that as soon as your team loses one significant match, you can blow up the roster, hire new coaches, and immediately see success. What a foolish attitude. Wait.

That’s exactly what has happened with 100 Thieves’ Valorant program. After a flurry of changes that earned the ridicule of the twitteredditsphere, somehow the squad is looking fierce within just a few short weeks of practice and play under their belts. After a very long hiatus, the dads are back to Fast Peek Last Week!

After all of the hype and buildup to the 2022 Spring LCS Finals, 100T fans were rudely awakened to the fact that it’s Danny’s world and we’re just living in it. EG made the Thieves the third victim in a blistering loser’s bracket run of 3-0 victories to claim the org’s first LCS title and to assume the mantle of NA’s new hope, much to our chagrin. The 100Talk dads put themselves together to purge the sadness, discuss ways that we just didn’t play or feel like ourselves, and make predictions about just how long the LCS’ newfound fascination with EG (or should we say their players) will last.

They also work painstakingly through a long list of listener questions and takes tackling draft issues, the loser’s bracket buff, and the familiar refrain of possible roster changes (despite great success in the past 12 months).

It’s been an up-and-down year, 100Kids, but we’ve got a lot to be proud of - and a lot to look forward to.

It was a very close series, but ultimately 100T woke up and TL went to sleep as Abbedagge ulted into the enemy base and backdoored the Thieves into the LCS Grand Finals. The dads discuss what this series reveals about our team and pick many bones with the way analysts and casters are discussing 100T and their opponents. Among the conversations are classic hits such as “did they throw or did we win,” “look, Ssumday is incredibly good on Ornn,” and “Abbedagge on TF is a good thing.” New releases include “100T is actually C9’s boogeyman, not LS” and “just how huge of an advantage will we have in a stadium full of fans?”

Cole and Jordan also spend extra time with you, the faithful listener, and a whole lot of your takes. It’s what any good father would do, honestly.

Gather round for a pre-title celebration edition of 100Talk.

Despite both dads predicting a #100Win over C9 in round 1 of the LCS playoffs, 100T exceeded expectations with stomps that featured the return of weakside Ssumday, aggressive bot lanes, Viktordagge, and a monstrous, rabid Closer. LCS fans are forced to move on from Regular Season MVP Summit (who went 2/23/5 in his last 4 games against 100T) and to accept a new title favorite in town - 100 Thieves.

Jordan and Cole talk about our positioning for our round 2 series against Team Liquid, how the 2 week break will impact the team, how much they care about winning the spring title, and as always - fielding listener questions and takes along the way.

It’s another happy game 100Talk, hot and fresh out of the oven.

100 Thieves came through big time this weekend, shutting the door on TSM's playoff hopes and delivering a customary thorough defeat of a sizzling hot C9 squad (as has been done in past splits). 100Talk had its most visible moment in LCS with our poll about Ssumday vs Closer as our MVP representative hitting the broadcast twice. The timing was perfect, as it appears to have shifted the narrative since HOW CAN ANYONE CHOOSE THE TOPLANER THAT WENT 0/8 AGAINST THE OTHER??? However, plans were ultimately foiled by yet another loss to Final Boss Dignitas.

As usual, Jordan and Cole debate whether weird losses matter. They also revel in the reform the staff has worked with the players to get this 100T squad humming at the perfect time in the season and make predictions for how the upcoming playoff weekend will go for the team. As we've said in podcasts of yore: it's a good time to be rooting for the Thieves.

Highly entertaining League of Legends was played this weekend by 100T. Running wild on the rift are Ssumday, Abbedagge, and objective bounties. A thorough defeat of Immortals was followed by yet another chapter in the vaunted series “Make Sure You Stick a Stake In EG’s Heart Or Else They Might Not Be Dead.” Your dads underscore what worked this weekend as 100 Thieves seems to be righting the LCS ship, plus debate the merits of Ssumday’s MVP candidacy (while Closer is seemingly occupying that discussion on other podcasts). Listener takes and predictions follow, as always.
