The more things change, the more they stay the same. This new 100T roster is starting the split a lot like the old 100T roster - slowly. Cole and Jordan bring the 100Kids together to explain why we're not overwhelmed, we're not underwhelmed, we're just - whelmed. The dads also talk about the perspective discrepancy that exists between evaluating the two team rookies (Tenacity and Busio), and why the narratives are more similar than different (read: Give Tenacity a freaking chance, yall, dang.) A good discussion ensues about Doublelift's new series "I make an entertaining video explaining what I think happened this weekend," and whether 100T's content outsourcing is going to play out positively or negatively.
Oh yeah, and listener takes and questions galore!

On this exciting episode of The COD Job, the dads get together to do what any good CDL fan would - draw sweeping conclusions about teams and players from just one weekend of play. They talk about a thorough drubbing of Vegas Legion and coming within 2 seconds of beating FaZe 3-1, and the positive discrepancy between LAT’s stats and their game results. Cole and Jordan also weigh in on the pace and feel of the game, and discuss how the 2-year game cycle will affect the competitive scene. Plus, as always, fathers always have time to answer their kids’ questions. You’re in the right place, LA Thieves fan!

It’s still 2022 but somehow, it’s time for the 2023 CDL season to begin. The 100Talk dads are as excited as ever to see if their beloved COD boys can go back to back as champs. An impromptu episode of 100Talk finds Cole breaking down his thoughts on the current rumored roster for 100 Thieves, but is couched in a reminder that rumors are just that - rumors. He also explains why communication from 100 Thieves is limited in a time of change and offers his take on what all of the signals mean for 100T’s LoL program.

In a sad day for 100 Thieves fans, the org announced the departure of head coach Reapered. Perhaps not surprising to those trying to read the tea leaves about LCS economics, the move is still proving unpopular to fans who enjoyed three straight LCS finals, two trips to Worlds, and one domestic championship. Jordan and Cole give their takes on the move and what it may signal for the rest of the 100T offseason. They also talk about possible roster paths and some general suggestions for what they’d like to see. Other topics include the latest (and greatest) apparel drop, and unforgettable Worlds final, and an even more unforgettable trip to Atlanta featuring the dads meeting a big group of 100Kids. Rollercoaster of an episode incoming - buckle in!

Looking much better in week 2 of Worlds Groups, 100 Thieves’ invigorated performance still ultimately fell short of getting to Worlds Quarterfinals after a very close loss to RNG and Gen.G’s destruction of a corpse shortly afterwards. The boys finished their 2022 year as members of the Western 1-5 Club, but without much else to smile about. Despite the underperformance being overshadowed by NA’s general impotence on the international stage, 100T quickly reclaimed the headlines by announcing the departure of beloved GM PapaSmithy, whose Twitter statement left a few things to dissect.
The 100Talk dads are here to do just that. In this episode, Cole and Jordan dedicate the pod to evaluating the PapaSmithy tenure. Checking performance against goals, the dads give their takes on the reasons for the breakup and what its implications are within 100 Thieves as an organization and for the LCS as a whole. They speculate on the future of the program and lay out the limited options in front of us, while paying tribute to both the players (who may soon be leaving) and the staff that made this wonderful 3-split run possible.
It is the most bittersweet of 100Talk episodes. Get your tissues ready.

Worlds 2022 got off to a very rough start for 100T fans as the Thieves tripped at the starting gate. Dropping a game to CTBC Flying Oyster was NOT how we envisioned our first groups outing to go, and the loss painted reasonable efforts against Gen.G and RNG in a darker light. With all NA teams on the ropes at 0-3, there doesn’t seem to be much hope to go around for fans. Jordan and Cole work out the frustrations of watching a beloved team underperform and puzzle about a course of action that could salvage at least some of the mess that we find ourselves in. Barring a miracle run this weekend and some favors from other teams in the group, it looks like our Worlds journey will end on Sunday and what will surely be an extremely active offseason begins. With that in mind, the dads give their advice for how to best enjoy what could very well be the final three games with the greatest 100T roster ever assembled…

Giving listeners control over which topics come up next for discussion, the 100Talk dads are back and ready to let the hate flow through them after watching a weird, frustrating, and ultimately a little boring play-ins stage of Worlds 2022. On the menu for this night of potshots are Very Unexpected Game Delays™, the problem with the play-in format, casters and analysts viewing Jojopyun with the rosiest of lenses, Cole's everlasting and effervescent hatred of EU, and even a surprise energy drink release from 100 Thieves scheduled for tomorrow. Off the rails is the brand, here. Enjoy your heaping helping of 100Talk.
