The Thieves that burn twice as bright last half as long...or something. After a sizzling finish to the regular season, the Spring 2023 100T squad quickly flamed out in playoffs, losing both of their series in not-so-great form. After realizing he was VOD Squadding the last 100T action of the 100Talk era, Cole had an emotional breakdown and needed to get right back to talking to the 100Kids about what happened. So, here's another episode of Keep It 100, our semi-sometime call-in show featuring NOTHING BUT LISTENER TAKES!

100T has managed to climb from 8th place to 3rd place in a matter of a week, and fans are beside themselves. 7 straight wins are making the dads think that this is more than a honeymoon with Nukeduck - it just may be true love. Sitting pretty in winner’s bracket for this weekend, the Thieves look to be a dark horse contender for the LCS title, seemingly out of nowhere. Cole and Jordan recap the joy that was this weekend, including 100Talk parting gifts from Brother Solo and Brother Jojo and some sweet revenge against the 100T understudies, CLG. You notice how I didn’t mention Immortals? Turns out you never need to.
With a newfound sense of confidence and killer teamfighting prowess, 100T is positioned for a playoff run. The dads discuss how deep 100T DNA runs and project what will happen in the PapaSmithy revenge series, plus field a heaping helping of listener takes and questions.
It’s 100Talk in rare form - Thieves Nation, let’s ride!

With Kaas out and Nukeduck in, somehow, the honeymoon has officially begun. A change has done the Thieves good, with the squad turning in a dominant 2-0 weekend including a substantial win against the surging Golden Guardians. The rookies are stepping up, Bjergsen is playing aggressive, Doublelift is a killer Xayah, and Closer is back on his big champs. The wins come in the nick of time, with playoffs suddenly looking much more likely for our beloved boys.
Jordan and Cole analyze which specific signs of life the Thieves were showing during the weekend and debate how much of the Nukeduck turnaround is simply a temporary shake up and how much is genuine balm of Gilead. They also whip out the handy dandy foldy sheet to go over scenarios for super week, finding that 2-1 with a win over TSM has us in excellent shape…
Plus, listener takes and questions as usual. Strap in for another #100Talk!
Also, a note: 100Talk will conclude after the spring split. Please see this Twitlonger for more: https://www.twitlonger.com/show/n_1ss8o23

100T made big news with their decision to fire head coach Kaas and to let Nukeduck step up as interim head LCS coach after the team turned in what is likely its worst week of League of Legends in the org’s history. Given the presence of established, outspoken veterans on the squad (who are currently underperforming expectations), a lot of fans are crying scapegoat. Jordan and Cole think through what we know and what we don’t know about the situation, and discuss the legitimacy of the changes based on the balance. They also lay out the path for the remainder of the season and realize (in real time) that this is a team that is dancing close to catastrophe - will the Nukeduck change be the Bible in the middle to make sure it’s not TOO close???

A win is a win, and a one and one is a one and one. But things still don’t feel all the way right at the 100 Thieves [redacted] Compound. The dads discuss how beating Team Liquid doesn’t mean quite as much as it used to, and while we were more competitive against FlyQuest, we ultimately made too many mistakes (one) and so we weren’t able to win against the dominant team. Cole and Jordan spend a lot of time breaking down the stats and eyeball test for rookies Tenacity and Busio and check them against their preseason expectations, while others suggest the blame for the team’s lackluster performance may rest with the veterans. Are we officially on the Department of Transportation’s Bad Teamfighting Team Watchlist? Azael says yes. The dads say…LISTEN AND FIND OUT!

An extremely sad and surprising 0-3 was turned in by 100 Thieves this weekend, and boy does it hit different this time around. In a matter of two weeks the squad went from looking ahead of schedule and a potential title contender, to looking anemic and lost. Jordan and Cole call the 100Kids together to compile a litany of complaints and evaluate which ones have merit and which ones will pass. The dads also break down the possible ways out from this mess and encourage, as ever, patience. Common 100Talk episode ready to be enjoyed by all!

An important weekend for 100 Thieves passed with a 1-1 result including a valuable win over Team Liquid (seriously, do we ever lose to them anymore?) and a not-so-competitive loss to FlyQuest. The microscope is on the 100T rookies as they continue their very public development in the LCS. Tenacity turns in an almost-good-enough-to-carry performance, while Busio seems to be having a bit more trouble finding his footing. Cole and Jordan dive into their takes on both, while also discussing the pressure cooker that is the Doublelift content machine. The big question now is how much progress can be made in the next few weeks. Are these Thieves for real? Only the dads can tell….

A clean and confident 2-0 weekend against some admittedly less-than-lethal opposition has left the 100Talk dads in a great mood. They clock the progress of 100T’s rookies and veterans against expectations (spoiler alert - we’re ahead of schedule), take some time to memorialize Solo after his life was taken from him by Tenacity, plus discuss the effect of Doublelift’s perspective and content on the team as a whole. Cole and Jordan are chomping at the bit to get further into this split to see what this team is really made of, but for now they are satisfied answering listener questions, taking liberal sips of the Rip, and getting their esports viewing out of the way before the weekend.
