Jack Poessiger immigrated to the United States after having escaped with his father from Leipzig in the former East Germany.

Jack worked his way up in the motion picture industry first as a theater manager and later as Director of Marketing, Publicity and Public Relations for the Commonwealth Theaters, Inc. circuit.

He also spend several years in television where he worked as Promotion and Production Manager at KAYS-TV, part of the Kansas Broadcasting System.

Jack served two terms as President of the United Motion Picture Association during which he oversaw its annual Show-A-Rama convention in Kansas City.

He hosted radio station KY-102's weekly movie magazine called 'Jack Goes To The Movies' for 20 years as well as another 10 years on 99.7KY.

Jack also covered the movie scene for KMBZ, 61 COUNTRY, KXTR, TIME WARNER CABLE, TCI and TELECABLE.
