Healthcare sustainability is important work – if the healthcare sector were a country, it would be the fifth largest carbon emitter on the planet. The impact of environmental factors on human health is apparent now more than ever. The World Health Organization estimates that improved environmental conditions could prevent nearly a quarter of global diseases, citing climate change as a global public health threat.
