Former NBA first overall pick Danny Manning joins the show to talk about the Nuggets’ versatility up against the Miami Heat and their three-point prowess. Cecil asks Manning about playing small ball and mimicking European-style basketball, and if that style can work in the NBA bubble.

John Davis joins the show to talk about the Broncos secondary and their PFF ranking. Davis says he’s seen Von Miller win a Super Bowl so he doesn’t need to be told how good Miller is. Also, Nick asks Davis about Denver’s competitors at the wide receiver position and the power of Courtland Sutton’s leadership despite lowered expectations.

Mark Schlereth joins the show to explain that it takes time to figure out who you are as a team and the only way to figure that out is by playing. Nick asks Stink about the battle between Garett Bolles and Elijah Wilkinson at the tackle position and if Wilkinson could get exposed as a starter.

Matt Chatham of NESN and The Athletic joins the show to talk about Dont’a Hightower opting out for the 2020 NFL season and what he anticipates in the coming days as more veterans decide to put family first and opt out for 2020.

James Merilatt joins the show to talk about Timeline 25 and to say Vic Fangio is already going after Von Miller. Merilatt says it looks like Miller is in tremendous shape for the 2020 season. Merilatt is unsure about Fangio’s head games with Miller, and Merilatt tells Nick & Cecil he is going to hide and watch what happens. Nick asks Merilatt about Elway tempering expectations and Merilatt wonders why enthusiasm would be tempered after a few boring seasons in Denver.
