Sometimes you start talking about things in therapy that aren't what you came in for. Why is that? You might think you have a complete picture of your issue, but as you present it to a professional, they see things you didn't or couldn't and start asking questions you might not have thought to ask before. It's okay to ask why you're talking about it, but try to be open and see how it relates.
