Abbie is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Vegan Lifestyle Coach and Educator with 13 years of experience working in the areas of trauma, domestic violence, sexual assault, and immigration. She has practiced in the United States, Mexico, and Guatemala. Bilingual in Spanish and English allows her to serve clients from diverse backgrounds and countries. 

She specializes in holistic modalities such as yoga, mindfulness, meditation, EMDR, and lifestyle and diet. She is currently a PhD candidate at Michigan State University in social work. Her research interests include holistic interventions for survivors of intimate partner violence, the connection between nutrition and mental health, and the potential implications of holistic healing for intersecting oppressions. She is married to Lee Nelson and they have a 15 month old son Corbin that is being raised as a raw vegan. Abbie is passionate about the vegan lifestyle and has been a vegan for over 6 years and a raw vegan for 4 years.
