Top Videos You Need For Every Stage Of The Recruiting Process
Host: Jeff Weidner
Guest: Maury Hanigan
Season 2 Episode 14
People on our YouTube channel and our Facebook page have been asking me for additional ideas on what type of video content can be created throughout that entire recruiting process.
Most are used to creating employer branding videos, and they're dumping candidates into the top of the funnel or they've got some other branding videos to help with onboarding and stuff, but there's a big chasm in between. So we're gonna be talking about what other kind of videos you can use throughout that recruiting process to keep candidates engaged.
My guest is the CEO of SparcStart. Please welcome to the show, Maury Hanigan. www.linkedin.com/in/mauryhanigan

Today I've got a really great guest. We're gonna be talking about candidate experiences, especially from the recruiting and staffing side. He is a trainer, a coach, a recruiter, and he's launching a bunch of new stuff around training recruiters, how to start their own business, and how to become a recruiter.

How to Create Content for Each Stage of the Recruiting Process
Host: Jeff Weidner
Guest: Nathan Jefferson
Season 2 Episode 9
If you're trying to build awareness and interest, then absolutely being on those social feeds, getting it out on LinkedIn and Facebook, and wherever your audience is, GitHub, et cetera, you absolutely need to build awareness and garner interest. There's specific types of content that you can do for that. However, if you're trying to push a candidate to make a decision about whether or not they should apply, or push a candidate into taking action, clicking on a link, or, you know, even going through an application process, or a setting up for an interview, then there's different types of content for that because they're in different stages. So if you look at the four stages of marketing, there's awareness, interest, decision, and action, and if you were to push content, push content that is geared towards having them make a decision about whether or not they apply, and they don't even know who you are, then it's kind of lost on them. Today we're gonna be talking about how do we create different types of content to address different issues within the entire recruiting funnel.

3 Steps to Implementing Agile Recruiting Methodology

Sometimes, recruiting can be an insane loop -- a job opens, you look for candidates, they go through the interview process, a candidate gets hired, and then he quits, so we go back to zero. Our guest is the author of Sprint Recruiting. He wrote, "without an efficient process with checks and balances, organizations look more chaotic mayhem than finely tuned machines. A large part of the disfunction starts with the lack of efficiency in what is known as traditional recruiting." He presented the four pitfalls of recruiting at most organizations and the AGILE recruiting methodology. In today's episode, my guest and I discussed the three steps to implementing the agile recruiting methodology.

Employer Brand:
Perception Versus Reality
Host: Jeff Weidner
Guest: Elle Aldridge
Season 2 Episode 5
I think a lot of companies don't really understand that the market is going to determine what your company culture is like anyway, it's gonna be a perception. As a candidate you're gonna read through the pros and cons and all the different reviews of your company... Glassdoor and a couple other companies out there have those types of company reviews built into the job boards, et cetera. When candidates read those reviews, like it or not, that's what's out there.
When these candidates see those one star reviews, most of them that are reading, going through those reviews, would realize that, "Hey, I didn't like the company because they have a yellow logo," there are those types of reviews on there. So, just realize that the good candidates that you're looking for, if they're reading those reviews, will recognize that the negative review isn't gonna have as much of a negative impact on them. Usually you can overcome that when you're talking to the candidate during the interview process.
Our guest today is the Executive Vice President for Recruiting at Talentcare, and we will be discussing Employer Branding, how and where to start building your EVP.
Please welcome to the show Elle Aldridge.
